Thomas Wagner, CFE, CLI

Thomas Wagner is a nationally vetted private investigator focused on obtaining results.

Thomas was the senior investigator for Armitage Research, LLC during the period 2002 – 2015.  While there, he was in charge of all litigation support and corporate investigations.  Prior to joining Armitage, Thomas operated his own private detective firm for 11 years.  He also worked in Chicagoland for several years where he was the investigations manager for a nationally recognized agency, which concentrated on wrongful conviction (capital punishment) investigations.  While there, Thomas was the lead field investigator for the defense on a high profile homicide case; a jury found the defendant not guilty.

In the 1980s, he investigated narcotics, bookmaking, and race fixing schemes for the Thoroughbred Racing Protective Bureau, where his work resulted in numerous convictions.  Thomas began his career as a military policeman in the U.S. Army.

Thomas is a Certified Fraud Examiner (Association of Certified Fraud Examiners), a Certified Legal Investigator (National Association of Legal Investigators), and a licensed private detective in Kentucky and Wisconsin.  He is a past president and a founding member of the Professional Association of Wisconsin Licensed Investigators.
